Turns out it wasn't but I fixed it now the provided cable for the CPU power has two different ports to plug into the motherboard turns out one of them is broken not the other letting it boot outside the case but not inside just by chance

I recently re built my PC as of 20 minutes ago and afteri finished I went to test and the power button wouldn't work I went to the user manuals of both my mother board and case and made sure I had everything right rotating everything making sure my rams plugged in I'm not sure what my problem is I really need help asap

Does the system post if you short the power pins?

Make sure all your cables are connected properly whenever they should be connected. Is the psu switch on (switch on the back)? Is there any light anything suggesting power goes in ??

The PSU is working because the motherboard sleep light is on the orange light

So did you tried shorting pins on motherboard?

Try resitting all the cables again, make sure they connected properly.

Just got back home and tried this same problem when I turn it on it makes a click I'm PSU and then does nothing seems to be working with power because the mother board sleep or power light is on but nothing boots

Hmmm ? any chance to get another psu juzt to test if system gonna boot?? Cos all of that sounds like bad psu for me

Ok let me think. Do you have speaker connected to motherboard?? Is there any beeps?? That could give some light on what’s the problem. Other thing which I can think of is take all components out, plug them outside of the case (mobo box will do the trick) and see if than it’ll post. Maybe there is some shortage causing that problem.

Great news I tried taking everything out and doing a pre build outside the case and it worked turns out my mb plug wasn't all the way in ? sorry for the inconveniences
