I've just purchased a Logitech Brio webcam and the cable is more then likely not long enough to reach my PC. Would there be any issues in buying a USB extension or could anyone please point me in the direction of what I should purchase so I can have the webcam where I want it with no cable restrictions.

You can either get a USB 3.0 extension cable (from what I remember, up to 2 or 3 meters max is what is recommended), or you can get a USB 3.0 Type C in a length adequate for your setup.

I specifically say USB 3.0, because that is needed for full quality (4K) recording with the webcam:

One USB 2 or USB 3 port (4K recording and streaming requires a USB 3.0 port and compatible software)

No, not really, just seach for usb extension cable. 3.0 for 4k as minibois suggested.

Ok thank you for the help.

Also, do either of you know, would the same USB extension cable method work for a USB cable that needs low leveled power such as this one: https://www.amazon.com.au/Neewer-USB-Power-Brightness-Gooseneck-Compatible/dp/B07M5F3Y4N/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=neewer+webcam&qid=1576753864&s=electronics&sr=1-4

The cable length max is mainly to avoid having too little power or not all the data going through it (from what I remember, with lengths too long the resistance on the cable will drop.. But I am not an electrician, so that may not be the reason).

Although if you have enough devices you need on your desk and want to be able to plug in devices, it might be worth it to get a (powered) USB 3.0 Hub, to place on your desk.

Everything else is fine, it's just I am planning to place my webcam on the other side of the desk / room so It won't reach so potentially want 2 extensions for both the webcam and the light. I only need another 1 meter extended so that should be fine for the light strength right?

Yea that should be good.

Just be sure to get a USB 3.0 cable.
