I already use a $50 mATX mobo for a CPU with a $400 MSRP, and a $99 EATX one for a CPU with a $1000 MSRP, this ain't too bad ?

I wasn't being sarcastic. I ordered the mATX board.

Gonna name the build Cascading Moonlight.

EVGA's customer service is second to none in my book. I've owned many of their products over the years and on the rare occasion I've had to call them they've always been awesome. They even managed to replace a motherboard for me that I got second hand, not something they'd do normally, but it's great to see they value their customers. Too bad I'm not looking to build anything on the X299 chipset or I'd be all over this one.

They wouldn't RMA my SR-2 tho... ?. Though to be faaaaiiiirrr... 1) their site had a bug that said it was in warranty when it wasn't, and 2) uuuuuh they legitimately do not have an SR-2 to give me if they were able to do an RMA for a secondhand mobo from 2009. They've done deals before were they traded X299 mobos for them, if EVGA has to ask people to give them back their own products, I don't think they have stock left to handle RMAs ?

I ran my EVGA X79 Dark for the past 6 years without a single hiccup. It had no problem keeping my 4930K at 4.7GHz, Vdroop off, SpeedStep enabled, at 1.4v under load. I got a damn good chip but the power delivery on that board was exceptional. I have no idea what I'm going to do with it as I've finally upgraded and decided to go AMD this time around. It'll either become my new server or I'll sell it off to the next guy.

Heck yeah! Also uh what would you be asking for that combo and how much of a hurry are you in to sell it, once I have the mons I do need to pick up an X79 setup

I have an X58 Classy SLI 4-Way and the 3-Way (XL-ATX and EATX lads), they're insane boards (have two SR-2s as well, one only boots with one CPU and the other hates me right now, but they are pretty finicky boards so that's the name of the game). I've never been able to push the 4-Way - one I used the most - close to it's limit, CPU has always been the bottleneck lol. Run an X99 Classy in my big rig now with a j-bin 5960X, and my current rig is on an X99 Micro2. Stellar boards all round.

Ahh LGA 1366 my old friend, I still have my X58 FTW 3 with an i7 920. I still haven't decided what I'm doing with the X79 setup so I haven't thought about a price, PM me when you're ready and I'll let you know either way. I still have all the original boxes if that sort of thing matters to you.
