OpenWRT DDNS

Bruno_A

Hi, I installed the DDNS service in my OpenWRT router, yesterday, through the LUCI UI, and bought a domain on namecheap.com, which is supported by the DDNS service. I filled out the settings to the best of my knowledge, but the domain is still pinging to the wrong IP address. Below, is a picture of what the configuration looks like (ignore the left thing, with the Google Domains settings):

I have the DDNS provider to "Namecheap.com", my hostname to "andrade.network" (which is my domain), the Username to my Namecheap.com username, which is "bruny06" and my password to the one that Namecheap.com provides when you enable DDNS in the Advanced DNS settings in the domain configuration. It will not work, at all. I restarted the service multiple times, even the router, and it still does not work. It is still pinging to a different address. Any ideas? Has anyone set up DDNS with Namecheap before and knows of an extra step I must take?

Many thanks,

Bruno.

Are you pinging from within your network or outside of it? Also, check the OpenWRT logs, if there's any error related to DDNS.

I tried both inside and outside my network. I'll check the logs.
