for real bro? Then you need 32GB RAM minimum!

The rest of the build seems decent! Idd get an other cooler. Those AIOS are not worth it idd go D15 black.

EDIT so that nobody else makes this error: Read below I mixed up some boards and was kindly reminded by @Princess Luna that I did so. This MSI board is SHIIIT. especially for the 3900x (or any CPU lol)

the aio is more of an aesthetics and transportation thing... this pc will be moved alot and dont want to risk the heatsink snapping off

I agree with @Metallus97 on the 32gb of ram and D15 cooler... The D15 is totally worth the investment and will be good forever instead of a few good years like the AIO

So you decide to pick the second worst motherboard on the entire X570 chipset to save up? Congratz you just managed to throttle everything.

yeah thats the only thing i might look into getting custom loop so that i dont have to buy a new one every few years and then i could get a new waterblock and put it on my next system, would i need more psu power for a custom loop??

No, pups take 5-10w and the fans you already have anyway and they take not verry much power.

But custom loop is not worth it!! I run one... a big one... but that's more a hobby lol

well since youre already getting a pretty ballin and expensive build the nicest nVME SSD at this time is the Samsung 970 evo plus.

If you can afford it go for it. its FAAAST and reliable

Crap youre right! I didn't catch that. Thought the trash MSI board had an other name.

so ok @scuff gangDOOOONT get this board the VRAM cant handle the CPU.... even at stock.

My recommendation: Asus Prime P (barebones but pretty boss VRM) or Aourus Elite (absolutely fine VRM and nice fatureset. You even can get it with wifi build in)

If you really do want a nice money save, the Aorus Elite is Fine, it's not the best but it's currently like 150 or 160 bucks and is still pretty damn solid.

Its even ok for a bit of OC on the 3900x (when having some airflow over the VRM). But for prolonged use under heavy load and possible OC the Prime P is cool, but otherwise its barebones

Bro! You will wonder how much more comfortable using a PC with a SSD is lol. But ok then the intel 660p is your go to. Pretty fast reliable and cheap.

And again: Dont get the mobo-> will start to burn with the 3900x on it. OK NO... but its way to hot

ended up going with the phantom gaming, i have usb wifi and bluetooth adapters all over my house so thats not a worry, it has no rgb which is nice, im planning on using the case rgb and setting it on purple.

Well I would actually contest that a little. With Solid Airflow over it the elite (From personal experience) Drops a LOT in temps compared to that result they have on the table for the open air test bench. It should be fine for a stable overclock too!

Edit: do keep in mind with the phantom gaming that Asrock has the absolute worst bios out of all the motherboard manufacturers and if your serious about OCing that board will be pretty hard to work with.

Well I am in the market to for a x570 MOBO (to go with a 3900x) and decided to get the Master for the true direct drive VRM and even better cooler. As you might guess form my profile I am a computing nerd and my systems are pretty much full thrust 24/7, on water and full thrust OC. Therefore I wanted a SOLID VRM.

But sure for a "normal" OC and normal gaming and some productivity use the Elite should be fine.

So wich temps do you get and on wich CPU?

I'm running the 3700x on it with a single fan D15, 4.3 ghz all core at 1.285, CPU temp maxes out 69 C after half an hour of full load. Highest temp on the VRM is 44 C meassured with the Corsair Commander pro's temp sensors directly under the heatsink and reported as 41 by the mobo.
