The amount of ram depends on the tasks you're doing

The speed, yes there is a performance increase- but that strongly depends on the processor you use.

The increased frequency of the ram will show improvements in some situations. But ultimately you will be able to run more programs at once, think of ram as a desk, the bigger the desk the more papers you can put on there for easily access. What is your processor?

Alright, with that in mind, do you feel the need to upgrade your ram capacity? I am asking this simply because if you are filling up your ram then go for it. With your CPU/MOBO a frequency increase will matter in a few, very select situations that likes faster ram.

I do find myself running out of RAM on occasion and I’d prefer not to worry about it, so that’s the main reason for my upgrade.

If the frequency increase wouldn’t matter much, might it be acceptable just to get 32GB of the 3200 and keep my 32GB of the 2800?  I’m aware that mixing two different speeds will mean that all of the RAM performs at the slower speed.

Can you give me some examples of those very select situations where a frequency increase could matter with my build?
