Do they make mice with 8500 DPI?

I was previously using the 4800 dpi setting on my 1080p monitors, but since I've moved to 1440p, 4800 is WAY to slow, I did the math and 1440p is 1.77778 times more pixels, so does that mean I'd have to multiply 4800 by 1.7778 to get the next scaling DPI setting for it to be the same sensitivity?

If so, its 8500 DPI, I currently have my mamba at 6400 and it still seems much to slow compared to before.

8200DPI is a high end standard for optical sensors.

@lachyman @Vbgf  is my math right? If it's 1.78x more space, to get the same sensitivity I'd have to multiply 4800 by 1.78x to get the correct setting? Just wanna make sure I'm doing it right

Not sure if you are but makes sense, and after you do the math it comes right down to 8200DPI , perfect :D

Do you really use such a high DPI? You could take a look at SteelSeries Sensei. Goes up to 11400 C/DPI.

Yeah, I like only moving my wrist a tiny bit, instead of my whole hand+ wrist+ arm, it's just something I've gotten used to since I bought my mamba

@Lays your math makes sense, tough pardon me if I'm wrong, but 300DPI diffirence seems like a small margin to me. I don't know any 8500DPI mouse but there are a ton of 8200DPI mouses and you can choose the looks and ergonomics. There is also the Sensei but that one goes VIRTUALLY up to 11400DPI.

1440 / 1080 = 1.333

4800 * 1.333 = 6400

Oh I was under the assumption it was 1920x1080 -> 2,073,600  and 2560x1440 -> 3686400  and then  3686400/2073600 = 1.777778

I'm not sure if it's total pixels on screen I should be worried about, or just the vertical pixels?

What is your windows pointer speed and do you have "enhanced pointer precision" enabled?

If your mouse was set up "correctly" (1:1 dot-to-pixel ratio), you should be able to go from one side of the screen to the other in barely over half an inch of movement. At 4800 DPI, your entire monitor should be contained within an area of 0.5 x 0.3 inches, as far as mouse movement is concerned. Your wrist should barely be moving and the difference between 1080p and 1440p shouldn't feel way slower by comparison, unless something is wrong.

Yeah I have it enabled, and that's about how much I have to move it, it could just be placebo I suppose, now that I've messed around with 6400 for awhile I think I may of just been "trippin" lol

Alright. I'd really suggest turning it off, because contrary to it's name it does nothing to increase precision and if anything, does the opposite. EPP is a form of mouse acceleration, which means the faster you move your mouse in a given distance, the further the pointer will travel...Not generally regarded as a good thing for hitting targets, or clicking what you want to click in a timely fashion.

If you do disable it, it might take a bit to get used to and you'll probably need to turn your DPI down a bit (not a bad thing).

Yeah it's sorta touchy now, I can lower my DPI a bit now :D

I don't understand why you need anything that high. It makes it really difficult to do anything. My mouse goes up to 8200 but I set it to 1100.
