Sound not working after upgrading GPU.

So I just upgraded from a rx 560 to a rx 580, and now I get no sound. I have googled this problem and tried lots of things to try to get it to work, but it still doesn't. Can someone help me?

What is your actual sound output device? Make sure it is still the default device in Windows sound settings. It may be as simple as it is now pointing to the wrong device.

Click on the speaker icon and select other sound device, likely you has smth like HDMI or Digital Output selected.

The output is Realtek high definiotion audio. When some sound is playing the bar on right shows that audio is playing.

Literally just had this happen to me. i went from a 1050ti to a 5700xt. 

 

Mine is showing Realtek Optical. but the 3.5 jacks do not work.

 

I am following along for the ride.
