silent cooler

miky3921

So my current cpu cooler is very noisy and I recently bought an xlr microphone for recordings and I am having an issue with the noise from my cpu cooler. Can anyone suggest me a silent cooler less than 50€ for am3 socket or any advice to reduce the noise

Won't get silence from an AIO, especially a cheap one at that.

Something like a 212 Evo, arctic esports or Gammaxx 400 will do fine

Don't pour money into an AM3 chip. They're inefficient by today's standards, and doing so would be a pretty fair waste of money

Just go with whatever of the ones I sent you there. I added another option, which I'd actually probably go with out of the three.

What are your specs and temps?

Have you tried lowering fan or pump speeds?

As Slottr says I recommend a Hyper 212 or 212evo. They are cheap and great coolers for the price. Will keep your cpu cooler and alot less noisy.

The same questions still apply.

Specs? Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Change out the fan, easiest and cheapest way to silent your system.

Might have to tape it to that heat sink but who cares, you’re not looking anyways

For more expensive, you're looking at basically any Noctua cooler of the size you think would fit in your future case for your next computer since they will send you a new bracket for future sockets if you keep a copy/picture of your receipt.

If you have a week or two to deal with international shipping, the Snowman M-T4 4 pipe, direct contact, CPU cooler on aliexpress is amazing for thermals vs noise.  Its not just the heatsink itself, but if i could find the fan it uses and buy that by itself i would fit my whole case with them, they are cheap, good, chinese noctua's from what i can tell.

Yep, the original stock cooler for the 8350 is very noisy.

You should get a new cooler but what's compatible will depend on how much clearance is available.

What case and ram are you using?

Where are you shopping / located?

Yes, it includes thermal paste and fits in the case. It's generally hard to go wrong with.

There's more clearance than the specs may suggest since it doesn't account for the side panel bump. Here's the 158.5mm tall Hyper 212 Evo in one: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/rgw6Mp
