Corsair H100i v2 + Gigabyte X570 Gaming X Motherboard

badger322

I'm building a new system with H100i v2 with the Gigabyte X570 Gaming X Motherboard and pcpartpicker says that 'the Corsair H100i v2 70.69 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Gigabyte X570 GAMING X ATX AM4 Motherboard.' I'm wondering if this will be an issue?

avoid this board. get the Prime P over it. as that is a way better board. especially if you are going to use an AIO.

Does that mean my AM4 motherboard will have no issues?

In very rare occasion that cooler has been sitting in some warehouse for past 3+ years (since AM4 came out) only. TR4 is different socket for AMD Threadrippers. Kinda sameway Intel LGA2xxx sockets are vs normal LGA115x sockets.

The above answer completed mine :) so yes very unlikely that it'll be incompatible.

The AM4 bracket is included with H100i V2's that were produced after the AM4 platform was launched.  You can tell if the box has the label like the one below:
