Hey guys, so I'm just waiting on my ROG STRIX 2080S in the mail, then I'm assembling my 3800x, 2080S build. When it's all good to go I want to put it through its paces to make sure everything works, temps are solid, and just to see how nasty she truly is. What are some recommended benchmarks? I'm not familiar with this area of things. I've heard of cinebench and timespy and that's it.

Cinebench R20, Firestrike, Heaven, Prime95 for me in that order.

Cine test stability pushing all the cores to their max, heat, etc

Firestrike will test the GPU and overall gaming score

Heaven will test the GPU score

Prime95 torture test will show you just how hot it can get at full velocity (which isn't a reality load in 99% cases)

If you plan to Overclock I would do all of them but Heaven (unless OCing the GPU) to test stability.

These are my usual suspects with TimeSpy thrown into the mix as well.
