typing problem

i don't really know how to explain this but:

when i'm typing and moving my cursor to change or fix letters it changes the letter that the cursor is near

the letter is not highlighted or something, when the cursor is near this letter and i'm pressing another letter it replaces the same latter

iv'e only encountered this with windows 10 and it wasn't the case when i had windows 7

is that something that i can turn off or something? because its driving me crazy

Turn off insert.
