Ssd won’t show up

So basically I just got my new ssd and well I’ve done everything by the book yet it just won’t register I’ve tried every sata port and it just won’t show up or detect at all. My motherboard is a prime 360m-a and I’m just wondering if any of you have had the same problem and maybe have a solution? Thanks in advance

did you plug in the power cable?
