is there anyway to make user logged on when i log off vps

i got a vps today and besides my other works that i do and need them today i was having problem with winamp when i try to stream sth and when i log off(close server) it gives error 

is there anyway to keep something or like a virtual user logged into it all the time

what are you using to stream? SCP? if so you are not doing it right. Also even if you could, you shouldnt keep users logged in no matter what.
