bottlenecking?

I'm building a PC for streaming PUBG, I was thinking 9700k pairing with a 1660super, 16gb ram for 1440p at somnewhere 90-120fps. For cost efficiency I'm thinking maybe move to a 9600k but idk if the lower core count can handle the streaming part.

R5 3600 with the RTX 2060 then stream with NVENC

From my friend's past experience with Ryzen, we're leaning more towards Intel, personally I have no experience with Ryzen either.

What does "your friend's past experience with Ryzen" mean? Do you have any info on what happened? Also Ryzen launched 2 years ago, he most probably is referring to FX

First gen Ryzen did run like shit on PUBG but like stated that was like 2 years ago.

 

R5 3600 is a better processor than the i5 9600K across the board and should be cheaper to build around.

He said it was laggy, occasionally overheat, draw lots of power, crashes alot yet slow as heck. He ended up returning his entire build for an intel build.

Ok...? None of this is accurate for a solid R5 3600 + B450 build but sure go ask this friend of yours for suggestions, he probably knows his stuff.

yep definitely FX, it's AMD's older and much worse product lineup, from like 6 years ago. Now there's Ryzen, it's more power efficient than Intel (and especially than FX), and is definitely a beast in terms of price/performance
