Here is a playlist of benchmarks of the 2600 and 1660 Ti combo:

Compare it with any Ryzen 5 3600 + RX 590 benchmark out there and you will see that i am right.

no its not. 

 

among the propper m.2 SSDs there is really only a few steppings increased performance. and the 970 is just rarely if ever worth it. 

 

only the Samsung 970 Pro makes sense if you do MASSIVE read and write sessions each day. 

 

A2000 kingston or MP34 or perhaps even the inland premium is more than fine for 90% of people.

That $10 is entirely for the CPU then, the cooler isnt worth the extra dollar especially since the 3600X runs hotter on its own than the 3600, so it's mandatory for the box cooler to be better. Still sucks though, for coolers heatsink size rules and the box coolers just cant compete with $30 towers.

From what I've read the 3600 and 3600X, with their stock cooler, get to 80C pretty effortlessly...

you're just being good to the environment and never use systems that pull more than 200W.

better now versus better for the future. Thing is there's not really a CPU to really upgrade to for gaming on Ryzen once you get the 3600 (or maybe 4th gen comes out on the same socket), while GPUs can always get better. Needless to say CPUs often stay in the same gaming rig for much longer.

No, it's not wrong.

The 590 and 1660 are pretty much on par.

Pair it with a weaker CPU, it's going to lose performance. If you compare the two here, there isn't much of a gap.

ADATA SX8200 pro is even nicer. Beats the 970 Evo on pretty much all benches, just slightly, and is a good bit cheaper. If I'd known it was an option when I got my 1TB 970 Evo, I'd have gone for the ADATA instead.

Yes but in the list i put a 1660 Ti not a 1660.

You're only looking at it at face value, and not accounting for the performance drop you're taking with the weaker CPU.

While I understand what you're trying to say, unless you have the same gameplay, in the same section, on the other set up the results will be skewed.
That's why benchmark programs are important; they have the exact same rendering for each run.

Framerates can, and do vary wildly in different parts of games.

There are benchmarks there,for example the Far Cry 5 benchmark,the Final Fantasy XV benchmark,Shadow of the Tomb Raider benchmark,Assassin's Creed Odyssey benchmark and many more.

Those benchmarks i listed are not gameplay.
