Pi hole on Motorola modem

Hi Forum,, 

 

I have an old Motorola surfboard modem DOCSIS 3.0. Can I install Linux on it and then run Pi-Hole (the network wide ad-blocker)

Well since everything good comes in threes i guess.
No it will not work unless you have knowledge of programming chips directly. And the consequent solder skill to go with it....

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!
