Best motherboard with dual CPU sockets for gaming?

Hawick

I'm looking for a motherboard that meets these requirements:

- 2 physical CPU sockets

- 4 to 8 RAM sockets

- fastest possible PCI-E lane (idk if it's x16 ?)

- on board high quality audio stuff (sound blaster x-fi or anything similar)

Those are server-mobos, ie. enterprise-hardware.

That, on the other hand, is entirely gaming-stuff.

You're asking for a mobo that has been designed both for enterprise- and gaming-use: you're very much unlikely to find such. Just buy a discrete soundcard instead, if you insist on going with dual-CPU.

Ok that was pretty dumb from me. What chipset is the most common? What CPU socket? I want DDR4 ram too and a cheap i7 + the on board audio.

Nope, i7 doesn't support dual-CPU.

No I mean screw the dual cpu. I mean a single cpu socket like most gaming boards.

look at intel website and check their i7 cpu's and decide what gen you want and then check what socket and chipset that it uses and find a motherboard that meets the requirements.

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Dell Precision T7400-line of systems. Run Xeons, great boards (work station class) have one myself, love it. Rock solid.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
