Upgrade Laptop

I have a HP Envy x360 15m-bp012dx laptop i5 7th gen. and it's just a couple years old. It's kind of slow and lagging on Startup. I read a review concerning this laptop stating that the laptop uses Windows Creators Update as it's  running software which really slows down the laptop. They in turn, downloaded an earlier version of Windows 10 which made it run faster. My question: Is that possible? Also, can I upgrade my laptop to a i7 and how do I go about doing so? Any help concerning this matter would be greatly appreciated.

based on the videos of disassembly, the laptop has a soldered CPU. but im not sure. the only thing you can upgrade is the ram and the storage.

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"

GPU             : ASUS RX 580 Dual OC (Formerly ASUS GTX 1060 but it got corroded for some odd reasons)

GPU COOOER      : ID Cooling Frostflow 120 VGA (Stock cooler overheats even when undervolted :()

MOBO            : MSI B350m Bazooka

MEMORY          : Team Group Elite TUF DDR4 3600 Mhz CL 16
STORAGE         : Seagate Baracudda 1TB and Kingston SSD
PSU             : Thermaltake Lite power 550W (Gonna change soon as i dont trust this)
CASE            : Rakk Anyag Frost
CPU COOLER      : ID-Cooling SE 207
CASE FANS       : Mix of ID cooling fans, Corsair fans and Rakk Ounos (planned change to ID Cooling)
DISPLAY         : SpectrePro XTNS24 144hz Curved VA panel
MOUSE           : Logitech G603 Lightspeed
KEYBOARD        : Rakk Lam Ang

HEADSET         : Plantronics RIG 500HD

Kingston Hyper X Stinger

 

and a whole lot of LED everywhere(behind the monitor, behind the desk, behind the shelf of the PC mount and inside the case)

changing out a hard drive for a ssd always helps, 

my old  computer with a 3rd generation i3 was so slow and when i swapped out the hard drive for a ssd it was like brand new, my mother uses it now and it runs like new

Try some of these if you haven't already.

The 6:45 mark is a great start to getting your laptop to boot up quicker. Then try all the others.

Oooh another Envy owner, This one is easy. If im correct your model should be able to hold an M.2 SSD. Considering that you probrably have a base model that hard drive will be slowing you way down. An SSD would massively speed up things
