My toshiba satellite laptop works for about 3 minutes after booting, then shows these kind of colors and completely freezes (these 2 pixel clusters are permanently dead) it has pentium T3200 @ 2ghz, 4gb ddr2 memory and amd radeon mobility 3470hd

This laptop works only plugged in, faulty battery, i booted with and without it inserted and same result, is this a faulty gpu or is it display related?
