Looking to build a balling rig for my 13 YO son in a custom case that will also hold his PS4 motherboard and water cool the whole thing

I have been a console gamer my whole life and i have been satisfied with that and still am. However, I really like tinkering and building so i want to build an awesome rig for my kid because he is a good kid. I want to build a gaming rig that will make all of the other kids jealous all on its own but I also want to be able to mount all of the hardware for a PS4 pro in there as well as a cherry on top type of thing. I want this thing to be water cooled and RGB'd the hell out. I have reached out to protocase and I am working with them on all of that. Now i just need help with the actual build, from the motherboard to CPU, GPU, Power supply, RAM all of it. and some proper custom water-cooling solutions.

Budget $5k U.S. not including PS4

need everything: Monitor, Peripherals, headset all of it

Budget can go all the way up to $5K U.S. but i would like to manage that and not shoot to actually hit that number. I do need to get the whole enchilada though, Monitor, Peripherals, all of it.

Do you know what he plans to play now/in the future? Depending on what he likes you may not have to spend near 5k at all.

A girl who loves to love.

It's only around $1200-1400 for an R7 3700X + RX 5700 XT

Would either get a 1080p 240hz display + 4k TCL TV as a secondary ~$500

or a single 1440p 100-120hz ultra wide. ~$400

You're going to want an 011 dynamic XL for the case...but I really wouldn't bother with the PS4 thing, just shove it on top of the PC or something...

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

The PS4 thing is a just a bonus Challenge. something to add to the whole pizzaz of the thing, and set it apart from every other gaming PC out there. Imagine being an 8th grader bragging to your friends about your totally unique gaming system.

Right, but just spending more money, doesn't exactly lead to an equivalently better experience. So I'd just stick to around the best value, can still do 1440p ultra wide gaming at high settings with the 5700 XT, and for 4k you can just cheat out more fps using radeon image sharpening.

If he plays a lot of fps games, go for the 1080p 240hz + 4k TV on the side.

The 011 Dynamic XL isn't on the part picker for some reason.

If you're doing full water cooling just buy the reference RX 5700 XT.

Its 100% not worth doing that. Just get a really good desktop, and putting the Ps4 on top. More then happy to brag about having an amazing PC rather then custom. After a week 8th graders probably wont care :P
