Could this be a bottleneck?

Hello,

I'm currently using 16GB RAM, GTX 1060 6GB and Ryzen 5 1600 in my PC, and I'm looking to upgrade my GPU. I decided that I'll buy an RTX 2060,

as it seems to be fairly good value (currently £300 in the UK). However, I checked out one of these bottleneck sites and

it claims that my CPU may limit the potential of the 2060. I know these sites can be horrendously inaccurate, but is there any truth in this? Personally, I don't think so, but I'd like to check. I may also consider upgrading to a

Ryzen 5 3600, but only if absolutely necessary. All I'm looking for at this time is a solid 144fps in 1080p games at high or ultra settings. Is this reasonable?

It will handle it fine don't worry. Though you won't have 144FPS in 1080p high or ultra since I can't achieve that with a 8700k+Vega 64.

Well it wont be such a big bottlenet but Ryzen cpus have come A LONG WAY in gaming performance, so yes there will be some bottleneck and it depends what games you want to play 144hz in ultra detail

Yeah, I suspected this bottleneck site was a little BS.I may be shooting a little high for 144fps in ultra, but I'd be happy so long as nothing is being limited by other hardware in my PC. Thanks again guys.
