Not sure how credible this is but this just seems a little too soon.

Anything before July/end of Q2 is still "early 2020"

it's not much of a stretch, Ryzen 4000 is just an optimized Ryzen 3000 pretty much.Unless they mean, they're only launching the Ryzen 4000 APUs.

They have to start working on a new socket and all of that soon after for AM4+/AM5.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I'm thinking they're misinterpreting what she said. The statement was that they are bringing their next gen mobile, 7nm, products out in January. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the current 3X00 Mobile chips are still 12nm Zen+ parts, right? So bringing the Zen2 Architecture to the mobile chips is their next big step, and fits with the Ryzen 3000 roll-out.

The quote from CEO Lisa Su is very credible. She isn't very specific about when in 2020 we'll see Zen 3, but expect it next year with the mobile Ryzen 4000 CPUs launching before the Zen 3 desktop CPUs.
