Double Posting Issues

     I posted an article today after searching through the forums to check it somebody had posted it already and from what I had found, nobody had. Then after I had posted it, someone wrote on my video that it was already posted by someone else and linked me to the post. 

 

I really think that there should be a better system in place where you can search for previously posted topics because some people decide not to put tags in their post meaning that it's really hard to find.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that this issue has been there for a long time, I believe they are working on it

What always works is if you google search your topic but put Linus Tech Tips at the end of it

I think it'd be great if we got a warning where it alerted us "Topic previously posted by (insert example name here). Would you like to repost topic? Warning: it may be considered as spam!"

The search function on IPB is broken, and they're probably going to wait till the next version of it fix it.

o nice never seen that before. I didn't know about the date range or related words so i will have to remember that.

The best thing to do currently is to just google your topic with the word "linustechtips" (without the quotes) in it. Would be great if it had a feature like XDA where it gives related topic titles when you type in your thread title.
