Have you already put the system together and it does not display anything, or are you looking for what to expect after you do?

You're probably right. Just to make sure, however, are you using the output of the 1050 Ti to connect to the monitor? Because the 2600 does not have integrated graphics, the DVI and HDMI ports connected to the motherboard won't display anything.

It's probably and outdated BIOS then. You can request for a "boot kit" from AMD, but I think they only send out 200GEs, which are second gen ryzen, incompatible with that BIOS revision. You may want to contact gigabyte and see if they can do anything if you just bought the board.

Or for $30 buy a used one on eBay and resell or return it

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

True.  Rental would be a better option.  If it can be found.  Keeping the old chip isn’t the worst move either.  It may be needed again for the same purpose.

See if any repair shops in your area can do the update for you and for how much sometimes they will even do it for free. Usually it's cheaper than buying a CPU just to update and you can get it done same day instead of having to wait.
