Second Monitor is Not Being Detected

Si I'm trying to run a two monitor setup, but Windows can't detect the second monitor. Whichever monitor is displaying the pc, the other cannot be detected through the settings. I've tried updating drivers (through device manager and AMD Radeon settings), rolling back drivers, different cables. I have two rx 570s running in crossfire, so I disabled crossfire and the second monitor still wouldn't be detected, I removed the second 570 and the second is still not being detected. I have no idea what to do. I still have a gtx 1050 ti sitting in a box I may try using DDU and putting that in to diagnose, but I rather not swap out my rx 570s with a gtx 1050 ti.

Specs:

Ryzen 7 1700X

16 GB Trident Z

RX 570s in Crossfire

Booting off a Samsung 860

WIndows 10 Pro 1809

AMD Radeon Settings 19.9.2

which monitors do you have, how are you connecting them to the gpu, via hdmi, displayport?

are you connecting both monitors to the same gpu?

please be specific n how you are doing things

You say you're using HDMI > Display Port and DVI > HDMI. Are these cables or adapters? You need active whether they are adapters or cables.

So I went and got a dvi cable and a hdmi cable and it works now, it seems like it wasn't really working

Yeah I was. I figured it out: the display port to hdmi cable wasn't working so I just used a dvi and a hdmi cable an everything seems to work fine now.
