M.2 Adapter for Maximus Hero VI?

Andrewf

I've seen people on Asus and other forums claiming they were able to get motherboard support for their PCIe M.2 adapter and recognize it and use it as a boot drive. Is anyone experienced with testing this on any other z87 Mobo?

Samsung Evo 970 - 500GB

Maximus Hero VI

People have claiming it working using the Asus Hyper M.2 adapter

Thoughts?

I was considering this for my Maximus VI Formula, but never actually went ahead with it...

As far as I'd read, others had got it working on the Asus boards using a BIOS mod that took the functionality from the Maximus VII BIOS...

Let me know how far you get with it :)

I will only ever answer to the best of my ability - there is absolutely no promises that I will be correct. Or helpful. At all.

I almost went ahead with it a year ago and didn't afraid that it wouldn't work and the tech being so expensive back then I didn't want to be stuck. Now that everything is getting cheaper I may be willing. I'll definitely let you know.
