Hi, first of all sorry for my bad english,

My budget is around 1400€ i live in Spain. I will use the rig most likely to compile programs and just play some games, i dont need to play at 4k-60fps. currently i have a i5-3570k, and im planning to go amd next

this is my current RIG:

CPU: i5-3570k

Cooler: Cooler Master 212 EVO

MOBO: GA-B75M-HD3

Case: Thermaltake Core G21

PSU: Mars Gaming 850W

RAM: 8GB Samsung old sticks

GPU: RX 580 8GB

Upgrade Build: i will preserve Case and PSU if possible

CPU: Ryzen 3700x

Cooler: Thermaltake Pacific M360 or this set  NZXT kraken G12 + NZXT Kraken X42 140 mmNZXT Kraken X72 360 mm , both options are around the same price, the pacific m360 kit is hard tube and i dont have the tools to bend it so gonna need to buy those or try without using tools and maybe fail, i kinda prefer the set of NZXT cuz i can liquid cool cpu and gpu for the same price as pacific M360 but dont know how good AIO really are so i cant decide this part.

MOBO: Gigabyte X470 Aorus Gaming 7 WiFi

RAM: G Skill F4-3200C16D-32GV

Storage:  Corsair Force MP510

this is my first planned build and i have almost all the pieces decided except for cooling, i accept advice with any part of the build, i wanna preserve case and psu to save money and be able to spend more on other parts i think that the case and psu should be good enough to new parts.

Thanks for the help

I changed the PSU for something that I know is reliable (not saying yours isn't but I don't know it :P).

Don't know about custom watercooling.

Changed the mobo for something as good, cheaper and Zen 2 ready.

the Build Plouffe made is a good combination of parts indeed. I would personally opt for a B450 mainboard however, Tomahawk MAX, Mortar MAX or the likes. They will save you 100 bucks and overclocking is just fine on them. unless you really need the Gen4 PCI-e, there isn't really much reason to go for an X570.

In terms of the AIO vs custom loops. LTT recently did a video of the corsair 'prebuild' custom loops. Something you may want to check out.

As for personal experience. i been using an H110i for 2 years and haven't had any issues whatsoever. Was easy to install and easy to get a clean looking setup.

Only difference is, i'm not into RGB or looks and the only reason i have tempered glass, is because the case was actually cheaper compared to similar cases with an aluminum side (at the time).

I would stick to air cooling for a workstation, also Ryzen 3000 doesn't use too much power, so a dual 120mm air cooler is fine.

Absolutely don't need a PCI-e 4.0 SSD, but if you're feeling crazy the option is there. The price is likely to drop fast though, so probably just get 2 1TB 660ps, or a single 2TB 660p.

Don't need a new case either, but there's that one with it's 2 200mm fans

Just reuse the GPU

If you want a hard drive just pick up a 4TB NAS hard drive.

thanks guys @Streetguru @Caennanu @Plouffe i dont really need PCI4.0 but the fact that x570 is compatible with ryzen 3700x right outside the box is a good thing, i dont have a 2nd generation of ryzen to upgrade bios, i dont need that much storage so 2tb nvme is kinda overkill, i have 4tb HDD for store things, the build is like this, i followed some advice from u guys

The cheaper H500 is basically the same case as the H500P Mesh

Would at least get a 500GB 660p then

for sure buy a modern PSU, gold rated from corsair/evga/coolermaster should be fine.

Not that it really matters, just additional information at this point ;). But the tomahawk B450 MAX comes with a ryzen 3000 series ready bios (unless you have the first batch, that one can have an experimental bios). Next to that, it also has CPU-less bios flash feature. So you won't need an older CPU to flash it, in fact you can't even have a CPU installed to use the feature.

I didn't know about the CPU-less bios flash feature, I don't really need a x570, PCI4.0 is pointless to me, so could save a few bucks, thanks for the tips to all of u guys
