Same fps on all games no matter what the settings are.

So, I recently purchased my Predator Helios 300 2019 model with the given config:

i5-9300H

1660ti

16 GB RAM(Single channel)

I tested my laptop in different games such as,

CS:GO(80-110 fps in any settings)

Rainbow Six Siege(80-115 fps in any settings)

Apex legends:(70-95 fps in any settings)

Please help!

And also my battery wont charge beyond 90?

need more info, display, whats the resolution and max hertz? also the battery maybe a background program that doesn't let the battery change past a certain point, my asus has one, i have it set at 80%, or it could be bad parts....

While I'm not 100% sure of anything off the top of my head, my first suggestion would be to update (or rollback if you're up to date) the drivers and see if that does anything. In my experience at least half of all graphics issues can be solved by adjusting your drivers. I recently have had several issues involving new drivers and the unreal engine that got fixed when I rolled them back to a march update. if you've never done this before feel free to ask for help, be happy to do what I can.

also everything i've peeked at online seems to suggest that the display should be 1920x1080. I dont know why or how this would cause an issue but it maybe worth setting the display to that and trying again...

You don’t have riva stats installed? There’s a setting in the app to cap framerate and locks all games

i did reinstalled the drivers to the previous version but that did not make any changes.

Sounds like you are thermal throttling your equipment at those temperatures.

Not sure what you are asking, however what I mean is that if at any setting you are hitting 92c you are thermal throttling your performance and the frequency on the GPU and CPU will drop to maintain stability for a trade off in performance.  The reason I think this may be the case is those temps are to high, and its regardless of the settings you play at.

Actually the problem persists even if the temp is around 70's. Like 100 fps in csgo is pretty low, since it's requirements are moderate.

What are your clock speeds during gaming sessions at startup through 92c?

Actually, go into your BIOS and turn off Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework.  Reddit shed some light on this.  Its keeping you at base clock speeds is my bet.

Im not very learned on this particular bios or Laptop - however you should poke around in your BIOS and see if you can find it as Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework or Intel DPTF.

I also read that there is a way to unlock the BIOS on this laptop, not sure if that needs to occur either.
