Compatible Part Suggestions?

Hello Guys, 

 

 

I want to share build with pcpartpicker but in my country there's a lot of price difference.

Im following ltt in youtube like 2 years, i learn a lot of things from there but i have a few questions...

Im currently working in a job and i wanna build a rig that help me with c4d renders and gaming. :D

My budget is around $2300 ~ $2400 and i wanna get a va or ips panel 1ms 144hz monitor. ( i have kb and mouse )

 

Build

 

Motherboard : MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Edge AC ( around $230 ) its lit beacuse its rgb! :D

Processor Intel i7 9700k  ( around  $460 )

 

Water Cooling : Corsair h115i ( $173 ) 

Ram : Corsair Vengance Pro 3200mhz 16GB ( $112 )

Gpu : I wanna get 2080 or upper and it costs ( $825 or higher ) maybe gigabyte 2080 oc? its cost $828

PSU : Corsair RM650X 650W 80+ Gold ( $132 )

Case : Corsair 275R ( Around $90 )

SSD : Sandisk SSD Plus 480GB 530MB-445MB/s ( $67 )

HDD Seagate BarraCuda 2TB 7200RPM 256MB ( $ 75 )

 

 

Monitor AOC 24G2U 24" 1ms 144Hz ( $224 )

 

Total : $2.388

 

I have no idea about building pc guys, im just reading this forum and watching some videos on youtube, im gonna get parts together with a help of my neighbour who has internet cafe :d .

Im searching everywhere but things like is this cooler and gpu fit this case? or like this ssd and cpu make shutdown?

I know a lot guys in here are expert in pc building.. if you guys has a suggestion that make my build performance better, would you like to share with me? :D

If you're going for renders then why not a 3700X and X570 motherboard?

not sure why I dont see Ryzen here, rendering has always been its strength. Just check Cinebench scores, more suitable in this case since Cinebench is the benchmark tool for Cinema4D

@Lurick When i search in internet i see a lot of article that Amd cpu's getting hot and not compatible ( idk its the correct word for that? ) with ram's and other stuff.. does it make a lot of difference with intel cpu's and motherboards?

 

im living in Turkey, and if i try to pick up with amazon or other web sellers its cost a lot of duty money :(.

That's mainly around the Gen 1 Ryzen CPUs (1000 series) which were more picky with RAM. The 3700X is an 8 core 16 thread CPU and in most cases is cheaper than the 9700K but not sure on your regional prices.

Are you sure you're looking in the right place?

 

I'm showing, from this site, that AMD 3700X + x570 motherboard is a bit cheaper than a 9700K + z390 motherboard

@Lurick that site is selling parts a little bit higher, only ssd's and other stuff's cheaper but..

 

I wanna know that does 16 core make a visible difference than 9700k's 8 core ? and if it does can i also game too? and my other question is the ram's and ssd-hdd that i picked up can work with amd well? I know im asking a lot of question but i wanna learn a lot of things that make my render times in AE and C4d shorter. If you can answer my questions, you can make my day.. Thank you

is double the speed noticeable? If it isn't then the 7700HQ will serve you well, no need for upgrading.

 

Or rather you're asking about 8 core 16 thread versus 8 core 8 thread? Yes it's still 25-40% faster. Btw I have taken architectural difference between Ryzen and Intel in these numbers, hyperthreading normally gives 20-40% performance increase in multithread workload like rendering.

You can game, even though Ryzen is slightly slower when CPU bound (which involves using a 2080 if not 2080Ti at 1080p)

My mistake.. I told you wrong the thing that i wanna ask.. the thing i wanna ask is in that price range if cpu can build with 16 cores that work very well both games and render, why would intel selling cpu's with 8 cores and higher prices than AMD's? Again im sorry for explaining myself wrong and taking your time.

You can go further and get a Ryzen 3900x - the 70 MB of cache may help in rendering:

 

3731 TL :: Ryzen 3900x 12c/24t  3.8 Ghz base, 4.8 turbo, 105w TDP : LINK

 897 TL :: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max AMD B450 4133MHz DDR4 Socket AM4 : LINK

= 4628 TL

You get a very decent stock cooler with that processor, so if you're low on money you can delay buying the water ooler for a month or two, and change the stock cooler if you're not happy with it.

Motherboard is powerful enough to handle that CPU at default auto frequencies or if you do only minimal overclocking.

 

If you don't pay 170$ for the water cooler you'll afford this.

 

 

The Intel processors with K at the end are more expensive because they're unlocked, so you can overclock them. Also, in general Intel has higher prices because the each cpu core can reach higher frequencies (up to 5 Ghz or a bit more) which can make them run better in SOME games that use fewer cores.

The Intel CPUs will also be a bit faster in applications that use AVX512 (mostly video codecs) but the power consumption is also much higher.

 

In applications that can scale and use lots of cores, like rendering programs, the Ryzen processors will give you more performance.

Case is very subjective. Personally, I like plain black or gray cases, without RGB or anything. I have a full tower ATX case and like it a lot : https://www.quietpc.com/ae-xpredator

 

You don't necessarily need such a heavy and big case, and there's more modern designs these days. with better options for cable management, locations for SATA SSDs, options to remove hdd cages and optical drives to support longer cards, more places for big radiators (ex 3 x 120-140mm)

Decide on what you're gonna end up with and then pick a case accordingly... make sure it's deep enough to support the length of your video card and a radiator + fans if you decide to place a radiator on the front , or just the video card if you won't have radiator, or you plan to place it on top of case.
