First should I build my own pc (I don’t know how) or should I buy I pre built one.

imo, build one from scratch is better than prebuilt

coz many parts of prebuilt isnt upgradable thus wasted

watch alot of youtube builds to make sure things work

Not everyone is willing to take the risk with building it on their own

this is where youtube come in to build up confident

I started with pre-built. Self-confidence came from upgrading that. The key is to go for boutique build instead of HP/Alienware/Lenovo or even Asus/MSI etc.

If you have a few days for research and a day free plus a decent desk space you can easily build.

I had a prebuilt first, for 10 years, upgrading it myself and learning stuff before finally building myself. Cyberpower is good here in the UK but I would use SCAN next time if I had to.

Building was easy, took me 3 hours to build my ITX system.

For a first build avoid RGB stuff etc, just grab a case, get an AIO or air cooler and have fun building.

If it boots and works it’s a success.

Remember always, eve a pre built, you need to know these things before choosing system specs.

1. what games are you playing?

2. What is or what will be your monitor resolution

3. What refresh rate do you want?

4. Will you be adding mods to games? (More RAM sometimes needed)

5. How much stuff will you be storing?

Then build a PC to power the monitor you have, at the refresh rate you want.

I was in your position long ago (mine was on a phenom ii), I built mine from the base up and i also have bought pre-builts. Both have their advantages, I would honestly wouldn't have had the confidence to upgrade the pre-built if I hadn't build a pc before. I would say build your pc. I would recommend 2nd or 3rd gen Ryzen 5 cpu's depending on your budget and a 1070-1080ti( if you build from preowned parts) other wise go.

I'm for building your own, unless you somehow find a prebuilt that doesn't have a shit power supply so you can upgrade it+it's a decent price

I would get an old prebuilt (super cheap optiplex or something) and take it apart and see how it works if you aren't comfortable building a pc on your own yet

I agree on going with ryzen, especially a versatile chip like the 3600.

but for GPU... 5700, 2060S, 2070 or for value a RX570

Post your location & budget and people on this forum will give you compatible parts lists. Go to your local hardware store and they will charge an hour's labour to do the same and build it for you.

I’m in Indiana and my budget is a little over 1000
