Hey guys,

So for about a month or so, my laptop (a dell g3) has been really slow. So slow that the desktop freezes and the start menu takes for ever to open so I can restart. Task manager says nothing is being used (aside from the usual ram and some cpu usage) and sometimes my computer runs smooth as it did before. I have run antivirus software, which found nothing and I cleaned it out with compressed air. I shouldn’t have any problems with the age of my laptop. It’s about a year old.

Specs: i5-8400h

1050ti

8gb ram

My HDD is not full.
I have all of the latest drivers. Here is a pastebin link: pastebin.com/LApRqvsy

I’ve attached a photo showing CrystalDiskInfo and HWInfo to show my computer isn’t throttling and that my hard drive isn’t failing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you checked task manager? whats the load on the hard disk? Are you running out of RAM and its using your HD as virtual memory? Age really does not have any effect on PC's but how its used does. Honestly, that 5400rpm drive is the limiting factor. I would purchase a SSD and clone your windows install to the new drive.

Server:-

Dual Xeon E5-2680 v1  | SuperMicro X9DRW-3LN4F+ Server Board | 64GB ECC DDR3 1600Mhz | 7 x Intel DC Series 500GB SSD's | SuperMicro SuperChasis SC119TQ-R700WB 1U | Redundant 450w Gold rated PSU's | ESXi 6.7
