Computer Crashing During Gaming

Hello everyone,

I recently built my first computer computer! During gameplay for some reason my display turns off, my system stays on but the graphics card fans turn on to the highest they can go and two led indicators above the pcie slot turns on. I have to turn the computer off and on again for it to work. This happens within thirty minutes of game play. I'm not sure if its a bad psu or graphics card. Specs below.

PSU: Corsair CX650M

Motherboard: Asus B450-f

Ram: 8x2 16 gb gskill trident z 3200mhz

GPU: Gigabyte auros 2060 super

cpu: Ryzen 2700x

os: windows 10 64 bit

Any OC applied to your CPU or GPU, or even increased RAM frequency or timings?

Try setting your GPU power target to 50%

Could also try running linux off a USB to eliminate windows from the equation, steam is easy enough to install.

No oc applied to cpu or gpu. I did oc the ram to 2933mhz as my bios had it set at 2100mhz.

And that would be the reason most likely does it crash even with stock memory settings?

Yes it does with the ram at 2100mhz

 

Currently doing testing setting the ram back to 2100mhz for crash testing.

Does it crash if you only load up the CPU in cinebench or something?

Probably just try the GPU power target thing first.

 

or the Linux thing
