Speaker, Subwoofer and AMP Recommendation

AnalogCanavity

First time buying audiophile equipment, please correct me because I am a noob at this! My MAX budget is $500USD, the speakers will be on my desk (8in deep x 9in wide max), the speakers will be in my room, and I want to add a subwoofer. I currently am thinking of 2 options for speakers

1. The Micca MB42X (Lower-endOption)

2. The Klipsch R-41M (Higher-end option)

For AMP's I'm thinking of the Micca OriGain  but its power output is 50W per speaker, so maybe a Dayton Audio APA150 would be better? (I still don't know much about the power output, power handling, RMS etc. so correct me if I'm wrong). For the subwoofer I'm thinking of getting the Dayton Audio SUB-800.

@Enderman?

Thanks

You would be better off getting powered speakers at that budget. Maybe look at what Kanto offers?

Main PC CPU: 7700K, MOBO: Asus Strix, GPU: Aorus Extreme 3080, PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB Storage: 970 Evo 1tb

Lounge PC CPU: 4790K MOBO: Asus Hero VII GPU: EVGA 3060 Ti PSU: Corsair RM650 RAM: Kingston HyperX 16gb Storage: 970 Evo 1TB

Why not get yourself some proper entry level kit like
https://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-S740H-R-Unmatched-Certified-Refurbished/dp/B00EZ4M4HO/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=denon&qid=1571315385&sr=8-7

Then you can add more speakers in the future. Might have to save a bit more cash but would prob be worth it as you could use it for a lot of other things as well..

anyway just an idea.

50 watts is aboslutely plenty for a desk setup, A couple of my old amps i used for HT surrounds outputted 10 watts RMS a channel, I only went for super powerful amps as i had the budget and they are super low distortion (McIntosh MC1.25kW), i would go for the klipsch R-41m's out of those two, or like @vong said, go for powered speaker's with a sub output. You dont want to downgrade your main L/R speakers for a better sub for music. I would look at edifier S350DB, or even KEF Eggs. the KEF Egg's in black are 280 dollars right now, 500 dollar pair of speakers for 220. Then you could get a decent subwoofer.

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
