Can i limit Speed and bandwidth of Wifi Users?

hi. as the topic states it clearly, i m in search of a program or anything by which i can limit the speed and bandwidth usage of users on my wifi. 

 

my net is dsl and when im gaming my brother uses and my ping goes around 500ms from ~100ms!!!  and after that i get kicked. im so mad and so frustrated that i cant bear it anymore!

 

so can anyone help me and tell me what softwares or any method should i use to limit the speed that wifi users can avail at maximum from my internet and also limit the monthly bandwidth data for these users?

 

my current wifi router is Asus RT-N10+. i might also change my router even if i have to get this done.

You can, but in my opinion you should only do this if you are paying for the internet.

you can set QoS and make your own packets highest priority

YES im freaking paying every penny for this!!! they dont help me in paying the freaking monthly bill or Rs 5000 which is about US $48!!!

your router should have this feature check it by going in to its web management

still no solution man , thats for the Linksys routers. mine is Asus. and the options that are listed are not in my router settings. i have checked.

 

is there any software for this?

has to be installed on their machine , so they can stop the service if they know how.

Your router should have an option somewhere to limit WiFi bandwidth. I think NetWorx might be able to do that to, as well as set quotas (what I use it for). Give it a look. http://bit.ly/NetWorxBand

So with this software can i limit the speed of clients as well? and also what about the mobile devices? can this software limit the speed on mobile devices connected to my wifi aswell???
