RTS Games on a 4k Screen?

This https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-spectre-x360-laptop-15t-touch-5kc45av-1 is what I'd like to get, but I don't know if I can even play the old games I want to on it. Does anyone know what kind of frame rates this screen can get with a 1650 max Q?

Games like Age of Empire II HD, Zero-K, Starcraft 2, Sins of a Solar Empire and Warlords Battlecry 3.

Just because a display supports 4k, doesn't mean you have to play in that resolution.

Age of Empires 2 (2013) does not play nice with 4k screens.

 

DE is just around the corner though.

Relying on the developers who made a big sloppy mess of AoE DE (and didn't fix it in patches) to do a good job with AoE2 DE is not good bet, IMO.

What problems did you have with 1 DE?

 

Outside the pathfinding it's pretty decent tbh.
