Does Intel CPU with AMD GPU actually decrease the GPU performance

So I have been doing my own research but I can’t seem to find an exact answer, so does an Intel cpu with AMD gpu or an AMD cpu and AMD gpu perform better. So basically does Intel CPU cause the AMD GPU to perform less so for competition l?

No. This is nothing but a myth. Nothing stops you from getting Ryzen 3700 CPU with RTX 2080ti. You will still get full potential of the card with no limitations.

Main system: Ryzen 7 7800X3D / Asus TUF Gaming B650-Plus / G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO 32GB 6000Mhz / Zotac RTX 5090 SOLID OC/ x2 WD_BLACK NS770 2TBs/ Corsair HX1000i/ NZXT H5 Flow

Are you building a PC? if so what budget/country?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

It’s mainly that me and my friends are arguing about if it harms or does nothing, I say it does nothing cause I’m the one with the Intel and AMD GPU but they criticize me cause of the “GPU performance decrease” so I came here for answers cause I couldn’t find anything online

well your friends arent smart then and did zero research.. there is ZERO performance issues with using Brand X with Brand Y

That’s what I assumed cause the only support they had was “they are rivals” and would never get proof that this actually happens but I wanted to clear stuff up cause it’s still a possibility. I guess the only evidence they said was if you use Nvidia and AMD equivalent with Intel cpu the Nvidia will perform better but that’s usually because Nvidia last gen was better (a bit) with high end so I was writing this off as Nvidia just had slightly better GPU’s

This myth has been going around since the old days, I bet when Intel puts their graphics cards out the rumors will just get stronger honestly. "Intel works best with Intel, AMD works best with AMD" of course then what's up with Nvidia

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

More like the opposite, that AMD GPUs run faster with Intel CPUs. However this is not caused by brand, but the differences in CPU architecture and various performance metrics.

Not if you include the new gen of Ryzen

That’s what I assumed, kinda like a whole political thing where one side blames the other of something that they didn’t do (sometimes of course it’s true but it’s just an analogy)

nah if you put a big enough GPU (2080ti without RT, or Titan V) with low enough res (1080p) you'll still see a difference

I mean depends on the monitor also, the difference could merely be that the monitor has Gsync instead of Free sync which makes a pretty noticeable difference

Less than 1% difference in every benchmark I've been able to find, which is well within the margin of error considering they generally don't run the test several dozen times.
