Best way to clean laptop?

Ksandur

Hi there!

So I currently own a Dell Inspiron 13 7370, a tiny 13' laptop that gets used a LOT, but because of this heavy usage it has gotten quite dirty.
Now putting your laptop in your dishwasher may look appealing but apparently it's not a good idea.
Not just the the case but also the display, not just my laptop display but my main display is also pretty dirty, so what is the best way to clean it?
Because just a wet piece of cloth doesn't seem to do the trick...

Cheers!

In my case its lint free cloth (not sure if that's what they're called but those things that you clean eyeglasses with) for the screen, clean rag for the body, alcohol and q-tips for gunk and dust in tight spaces.  For the insides tho, if you can open the unit up, you can use canned air to blow dust buildup off the fans, or if you don't want to open it, i guess you could just put the nozzle up the intake grills where the fan is outlined and blow the canned air there. That's what I was doing with my laptop since i got it 5 years ago and i'm still using it now
