X570 or B450

I have to make a choice based on quality and the future, you would buy the Asrock x570 pro 4 (180€) or Msi Tomahawk b450 max (120€) 
to combine with 3700x and 3733 mhz RAM? I think I don't do oc.

I search te best motherboard under 200€ for 3700x.

First of all, you should probably get a cheaper kit of memmory

 

Second: i dont think the Pro4 has ever been declared among the best sub-200$ boards. 

 

Third: do you need the IO that x570 offers? If not, a b450 tomahawk max is more than fine.

There's no practical/meaningful instance where getting the memory exactly at the 3733 1:1 cap will benefit you performance wise, for most tasks it has been proved that 3000mhz~3400mhz with super tight timings is preferable. That said it is easier to fine tune the memory at say 3200mhz with CL14~ if you do get those higher binned kits.

The best "entry level" X570 is the ASUS Prime-P but that said the B450 Tomahawk should suffice for a 3700X.

Msi Tomahawk b450 max is good enough i think...and you can get a 3200mhz ram and use memory try it to overclock the ram...if it fails to boot increase the cl timings...

the tomahawk will give you better chances, but performance benefit for memory above 3200MHz is not as huge as you think for the price, especially if you're looking at CL19 kits.

Have you looked into X470 boards? I don't see those being talked about. Slightly better features then B450 and will still be cheaper then X570.

They arent talked about much due to the fact x570 kinda outshines it in many regards, and you dont need that expencive of a board. 

 

Also x470 isnt allways that cheap
