Best Charging Cable Brand?

Hi everyone,

I have bought 2 charging cables this year, of which the second one has just broken. I have an iPhone 8 and the original cable from Apple worked fine for a few years, then it broke. Two cheap cables later, I'm kind of sick of buying new charging cables.

 

What are the BEST brands you know, that are long lasting and good quality? (I am happy to pay more money to get good equipment). Should I go with Apple again even though the reviews on Apple Inc say that they break quickly too.

just get a braided cable with good reviews

 

or get a normal cable and get some cable guards which prevents the top part from bending too much

Honestly, the HeyDay Target-brand braided cables have worked wonderfully in our household. They can take abuse and still remain sturdy, and no complaints on charging efficiency. 

 

If the cable is not braided, stay away.

Brother's friends aren't exactly easy on their electronics, so I recommended they get Anker cables. They're not bulletproof, but they were easily replaced under warranty when someone decided pulling the cable stuck in the door of their car really hard to remove it was a good idea. That being said... I have never found a need for them, as I've never broken a manufacturer cable before, so it really boils down to how you treat your stuff.
