770 or 280x, great video cards.  I'd go for 770 just because of the features like Shadowplay recording. and maybe a working G-sync if you care about that.

280x or 770

You guys should give him insight to why he should make that choice in those cards

@Xthread will the graphics card be needing to play all titles? Like Battlefield 4 etc. And is its only purpose for gaming?

GTX 770, better bang for the buck because of the inflation AMD cards are suffering from.

@Tmh85 @scaryjam823 lazy asses xD

between the two graphics card they're both based on they're last generation series of top tier single graphics cards (280X is a rebranded & rebadged radeon hd 7970 and the nvidia gtx 770 is based on the GTX 680) now amd offers true audio with some specific graphics cards which is the R9 290X and the 260X i believe but I'm not entirely sure any more.

nvidia offer support for streaming to either a web based site (twitch.tv) and to the nvidia shield a console based pc gaming xbox controller (minimum requirements are of kepler based architecture graphics cards with the 650 ti being the lower compatible card to the nvidia shield streaming capabilities as well as super fast internet connection for low PiNG)

G-Sync which is sorta revolutionary but requires a seperately bought pc monitor + Hardware to improve gaming performance reducing lag, stuttering and latency <- requires display port (1.4, 1.3,) and shadow play which allows you to record about 20 Minutes of gameplay using the h.264 encoder on the gpu.

Hi and thanks, yes I would be gaming...

Checking on both cards I see some differences:

· 280X has a bandwith of 384 meanwhile the 770 has a bandwith of 256.

· 280X has 3GB of VRAM, 770 has 2GB of VRAM

· 280 has OpenGL 11.2, 770 has 11.1

¿So seeing these differences what would u do?

¿Go for the extra Gig and bandwith or maybe go for the G-Sync (even knowing it will need a new display) and that 20 min shadow play...?

Whichever you prefer. You probably wouldn't even notice the memory bandwidth or OpenGL, but if your gaming at resolutions higher than 1080p, I would go with the 280X. If you're going to play at 1080p, go with the 770. Just be warned that pretty much anywhere you go, AMD prices are going to be inflated, and not really worth it (compared to nVidia).
