Replacing fans Red Devil RX580

I want to replace the fans in my card with a better cooling solution but since this card will be going into a air cooled only pc i cant do the whole waterblock way. Does anyone know the exact fan sizes and what would be a good replacement to lower temperatures while the card is overclocked and under full load?

I have this card in a very small case, don't OC it. Drop the GPU voltage some and keep the stock clocks, it'll hold the highest boost clocks and perform better over a long period than if you OC it and it's dropping clocks from overheating. I'm running 1050mv GPU core voltage and holding the highest boost clocks nonstop with tolerable fan levels next to my head.

oh its not dropping clocks at all i have it stable at 1480mhz on the gpu and 8800mhz on the ram and even on a super maxes stress test on it was 78c i was just wanting to drop the temps

redoing the thermal paste doesn't help enough?

havent done that yet and figured if i was gonna open it up might as well maybe replace the fans lol. What thermal paste you suggest

fans can help but they cost more to swap out, leave that for later.

 

I myself use Noctua's NT-H1, I think cheap option will be Arctic MX-4 and premium option is Thermal Grizzly Kyronaut.

yeah prolly not a good idea to use LM on it then since it could migrate to the pcb after all

Check hwinfo to see if your RAM is throwing errors, it'll run at much higher than stock speeds but ECC penalties will make it effectively slower lol.

so which stress should i run while looking at hwinfo to watch for errors?

MSI Kombustor or Superposition benchmark are good, Kombustor for ultimate GPU temps and Superposition for generally checking if an OC has any benefits. MemtestCL for checking GPU memory for errors works well too. Watch Hwinfo for ECC errors while benching.

funny thing i ran that memtestCL and it says over 50 failed random block iteration failures yet hwinfo is showing no errors at all

That's pretty odd. Which driver version are you using? Some were having issues with memory errors on certain drivers a while back, but it's been cleared up as far as I know...

right now i have the newest version of the drivers for my red dragon rx 580 if that is the drivers you mean
