What would you change in this? I am debating whether or not I would be better of with a 2600 instead of the 3600 but the difference is 127 vs 208 euros. But the graphics card I think will stay because the other option is to get rx 580 8gb but I think the 5700 will last longer. I will be gaming primarily and the monitor I plan to get is 144hz freesync 1080p most likely but may get a 1440p one depending on the money I have at the time. I currently have a crappy 7 year laptop and this will be the first pc I build. Thanks in advance.

You're going to want Ryzen 3000 and fast memory for 144hz gaming.

I wouldn't buy just a 1440p 144hz display, save up for one of the 1440p 120hz ultrawides to get a true upgrade. Or  just get a 1080p 240hz display even, if you play a lot of fps games.

PSU here is still fine, just a bit cheaper.

You already own that case?

Some faster memory for not much more and I tossed in an SSD since I'm not sure if you have one already or not.

I do not own anything on that list. I just put in a case that is available for a price since I am not building it anytime close. The case I will do some research to find a nice one. I don't think I will like an ultrawide. I play some fps games but recently I am playing more single player story games so that was the reasoning behing the 1440p and the 144hz for when I play the fps games that I play. Thanks for the reply!

That memory isn't available here. The only 16gb 3600 kit I can see is a cas 19 one... so I don't think that will be good. Thanks though! I will look for what options are available.

It's just that a 16:9 1440p 144hz display isn't much of an upgrade from a 1080p 144hz display IMO.

And for the games you play an ultra wide would be plenty useful, or like a 40" 4k display too.

chances are I won't have that many money to get a 1440p one but If I do I think I will opt for a 120 ultrawide. Thanks for the input!
