So me and my friend are arguing if an egg can crack a skull, and if so, how fast does it need to be. So I’m looking for a free or demo physics simulation software to prove her wrong but prob gonna end up proving myself wrong

A raw egg? No. Hard boiled or frozen, yes.

You're not going to very accurately simulate that with anything free.

Uh... eggs are way more delicate than your skull. It will disintegrate into powder long before it could ever break your skull

Any mass, at suficient velocity, will achieve the goal.

Of course it might be so hot & become plasma by then, but it will still be the same particles xD

No. And even if I did it would probably be too complicated to just throw together in 5 minutes. Aside from the fact that would need to accurately measure the strength of eggs and skulls. I mean, the egg shell, the empty void, the whites, the yolk, how they compress and expand, etc.

 

You'd be better off just making a pipe cannon and launching it at a pig skull. Bovine is too thick. And then she'll laugh at you when you're proved wrong.

Making really good models of a head with skull and an egg is really not worth it for this. You basically only need one Formula, which is F=m*a and then you need the weight of an egg and the strength of a skull.
