X570 aorus master board chipset fan sound

Hi there,

i just built my new ryzen rig, and I’ve got a really annoying ticking sound coming from my motherboard. I’ve searched around online and there is a high pitch whine everyone as gotten but I’ve been getting a ticking sound. The ticking is there when the system first boots and then it subsides but when I run a game it starts again. I’m starting to believe I got a broken mobo. :(

Here are my system specs:

cpu: Ryzen 3700x

ram: Corsair LPX 32gb 3200mhz xmp enabled

Gpu: MSI gaming x 1080ti w/ nzxt g12 mod

PSU: xfx black 850w

OS: windows 10

Annoying ticking

thanks in adacanced for your input!

Just unplug all of your fans and see which one is making the noise.

Or something is stuck in one of the fans

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

From your spec list you missed the Motherboard... which I think is the culprit, probably the mobo chipset fan.
