Hello, I have a Lenovo Y500 laptop, I love that laptop it can still run all esports tittles good enough, like LoL, CS:GO and so on. But it is 6 years old by now, and i am debating with myself if it is worth to update it from 8 gb RAM to 16 gb Ram and putting a m.SATA SSD in it and trying to migrate the windows from the HDD it has to the SSD.

Laptop Specs:

Processor: Intel I7-3630QM CPU @ 2.40GZ

Motherboard : 20193

RAM: 8 gb DDR3L

Video cards: 2x nVidia 650M GT 2gb each working is SLI

Hey, there were too options back in 2013 when I got it, and unfotunatally the one with the sad in it was all sold out and I had to get the one without, back than that was the best thing I could have gotten for that money :D

Yeah totally get an ssd, the system will be much snappier

Definitely get the SSD, and in fact it may even be worth upgrading the HDD beforeit fails, 6 years is a long time.

Not sure about the RAM, 8gb is enough for most things and the DDR3L may be harder to find.

I do not think that i run out of RAM, but my issue is that the HDD sometimes works at 100 % for like 15-20 minutes for no reason ...

ram won't fix that, but you cpuld monitor it with something like hwinfo and see if you really would need it

the hdd 100% is common, fix is ssd
