Non gaming build

Go to solution Solved by RollinLower,

yeah sadly those Ryzen CPU's don't come with integrated graphics. so you are gonna need a GPU.

since you won't be gaming on this tough it can be a pretty shitty one you can get for cheap!

(since you're dutch/belgian i recommend Tweakers.net and then sorting by cheapest on the pricewatch or vraag&aanbod)

Hello,

I am looking for some help with my non gaming build.

The main purpose for this pc is to run MS programs, surfing internet and i would also like to watch films on it. I dont intend on upgrading this pc in the next 5 years.  My budget is €600. The reason i have chosen the case in the picture below is because it will need to fit in a cabinet. My main question is if i need a gpu in this build, because i read somewhere that i might be intergrated into the motherboard.  If you have any other sugestions for my build, i would love to hear them aswell!image.png.e0c3dbc0f54a94f011006c135f0b0a66.png

Get a 3600g and you'll be good to go

haven't seen one of those yet

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

As others have said, you need a video card, or a CPU with integrated graphics.

Also, if you're going to go with Ryzen, you really should get dual channel RAM. You're going to lose considerable performance going single channel.

I'd also suggest 16GB. RAM is cheap right now, there's really no reason not to.

Whoops, made a boo boo.

3400G.

You should be fine with 4c/8t for that kind of load.

Or maybe even go Intel (shocked face).

The 8400 or 9400 could be a good value.

I once gave Luke and Linus pizza.
