5700 or 5700 xt?

I'm looking to buy a Sapphire Pulse (If they'll ever be in stock lol) and I'm wondering if it's worth it to spend the extra $70 cad ($50 usd) for the 5700 xt.

It's a 15% performance uplift. Imo it's worth it.

I have wondered (and asked the same thing), but where I live the price difference between the two is 24%, so I'm more inclined to pick the 5700 because it has a better value-for-the-money.

I would, however, reconsider it if someone were to give valid reasons as to why the XT would be the better choice.

 

As of right now, I think that the primary independent factor would be whether you play at 1080, 1440, or 4k. For 1080 the 5700 XT would probably be overkill unless you're doing some "future-proofing" stunt, whereas for 1440 the 5700 is probably not going to last you very long.

 

In your case, I think you should probably go for the 5700 XT since the price difference is only 50 USD.
