Attempting to render a 60FPS 5K video on my jank laptop

Because I am a terrible person, today I decided to render a 3 minute music video in 5K at 60FPS on my HP Probook 455 G3 since my PC that I would normally have used for this suffered an unfortunate capacitor related death last month and I am still building its replacement.

It has been 4 hours and barely 20% of the render is completed. Maybe when I come home from work tomorrow it will have either finished the job or died a glorious heat death.

Don't be like me, get a minimum 6 core processor that runs fast~ish to render your videos in high resolutions. Better yet, don't agree to edit videos for people when your editing PC is down.

I've propped it up at an angle and put a cooling unit under it to generate maximum airflow. Now I play the waiting game.

Realistically any high end video should be edited on an 8+ core desktop, but I owed this guy a favor and figured I could get the job done within 3 days of render time

Well, happily, 20-ish hours falls within a day.

When I was encoding a lengthy anime series on my old laptop from Blu Ray to something manageable, it ran Handbrake for about 9 days straight. That horrible wretched fan whining noise in my room for more than a week was dreadful. ?
