I just installed a new ssd and i am running everything with no problem except that i cant activate windows for some reason. It says "We can’t activate Windows on this device as we can’t connect to your organization’s activation server. Make sure that you’re connected to your organization’s network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization’s support person. Error code 0x8007007B". i have put in my windows key and it doesn't seem to work.

Give this one a shot: http://www.troublefixers.org/windows/fix-for-error-code-0x8007007b-appears-while-activating-windows-10/155/

I'm guessing you got an OEM key, those tend to be cheap but, the activation can be tricky. I usually use the phone method.

Researching the error code revels information I'm not sure you'll consider useful:

Quote

0x8007007b DNS name does not exist.

Possible cause

This issue may occur if the KMS client cannot find the KMS SRV resource records in DNS.

I'm not certain what this means. Something about not being able to resolve the hostname in the DNS records (cannot locate activation servers?).

Cyperspirit brings up a point I didn't consider. Where did you acquire your key?

Have you spoken to Microsoft support? They're immensely helpful and very responsive to customer contact. I prefer their live chat.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

You installed the enterprise version, didn't you (and possibly connected it to a domain)? You need a company activation server for that these days. Solution is to install the correct version for your license and setup. Pro or home should work fine.
